I take care of people. Title is just the vehicle.
Twenty-seven years of it. Two industries. Same job.
I'm Heather Rice. I lead sales for a Texas title and settlement company, and I'm the person a lot of Texas agents and loan officers keep on speed dial when a file gets complicated.
I spent 21 years in the private golf and country club industry, first running events, then directing membership sales for people who expected things handled before they thought to ask. I drove more than $1.5M in annual revenue growth, trained sales teams nationwide, earned every incentive trip I was eligible for, and was inducted into the company Hall of Fame for record-breaking performance.
In 2020 I brought all of it into title. I launched a San Antonio market from zero to a full office with a team and a real revenue engine, and today I lead a sales team across Texas. I built our sales training program, I bring continuing education and real estate training to my clients, and I still spend a lot of hours on the phone with people at the worst moment of their transaction.
Two industries, one job: take care of the client so completely that they wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
Anybody can quote a rate. Texas sets them anyway. What you're choosing is how hard someone is willing to work your file.
Superior customer care isn't a tagline for me, it's the entire product. It means you get a real answer instead of a ticket number. It means I read the commitment before you have to ask me to. It means when something goes sideways, and in this business it will, you hear it from me early, with the fix already in motion.
I'm resourceful by nature. If I don't know it, I know exactly who does, and I'll have them on the line before you've finished explaining the problem.
I'm a mom of 3 boys and a brand new grandmother, which are the titles I am proudest of.
I keep more than sixty houseplants. Every one of them wants something a little different: more light, less water, a spot away from the vent, patience while it sulks through a season for reasons it won't explain. You don't get to treat them all the same and call it care. You have to learn what each one actually needs and then show up for it, consistently, whether or not anybody notices. That's the part I love, and it isn't so different from how I take care of people.
My music has no rules at all. Reggae one hour, metalcore the next, and a dozen other genres in between depending on the day. And I'll take any excuse to be near water, especially the ocean with a cocktail in hand.
There's a seat at my (closing) table for you, whoever you are.
